Closed small micro-water bodies are susceptible to exogenous pollution impact, such as rainwater pollution at the early stage of rainy days and overflow pollution of sewage cut-off, resulting in rapid turbidity of water bodies, reduction of dissolved oxygen, and further eutrophication, which tends to be black and smelly.
Main Work Undertaken
JSTI adopts the treatment measures of “integrated non-powered high-efficiency treatment equipment”. In case of emergency such as storm overflow pollution discharge, the project will carry out high-efficiency coagulation sedimentation on suspended solids, greatly reduce water body pollutants, quickly purify water quality, effectively eliminate a large amount of pollutants in water body, improve water body quality, and create good conditions for ecological restoration of water body to improve water quality in Zhongshan Park.
Innovation Points
The project adopts multi-point dispersed installation of biological circulation beds, with a total of 8 FBR biological circulation beds and a total area of 2,181m2, so as to improve the overall self-purification capacity of the water body, increase the hydrophilic ecological revetment and provide living space for aquatic animals and plants.
An integrated non-powered high-efficiency treatment equipment of 2,500m3/d is set near the overflow outlet to cope with the accumulation of nutrient salt in water body and to control the increase of free algae in the downstream of high-density free algae environment and the sudden deterioration of water quality such as high turbidity. Carrying out high-efficiency coagulation sedimentation on suspended matters and greatly reducing water body pollutants can quickly purify water quality.
Achievements
The water body is greatly improved, and the detected water quality can stably reach Class II surface water, which is highly appreciated and praised by surrounding residents and tourists.
